About the Blog

As you may have noticed, this word that I made up, delbasid, is simply disabled spelled backwards. The word disabled is used with a negative connotation. In a dictionary, its definition is incapacitated, injured, weak, unable, or unfit. I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, but I refuse to define myself based on these words. Thus, I created a new word.

delbasid [DEL-buh-sid] (adj.): possessing a physical or mental condition/disease but by no means being incapacitated, weak, unable, or unfit.
