The made-up word “delbasid” is simply disabled spelled backwards. The word disabled is used with a negative connotation. In a dictionary, its definition is incapacitated, injured, weak, unable, or unfit. I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, but I refuse to define myself based on these words. Thus, I created a new word.
